Well  here is yet another reason you might not have thought of to secure our Sourthern Borders. It is reported that Cubans fleeing to the United States now prefer coming through Mexico.   Unlike Mexican and Central Americans heading to the southwest borders of the U.S.the Cubans do not have to sneak across the border….they just walk right up to the United States Authorities at the border.   Our policy is…if Cubans reach the United States soil they can become a permanent resident of the United States because they are being oppressed by the Castro regime.  

            For Cubans….Mexico is the way.   It is easier to come through Mexico than by sea in a jury-rigged boat and cope with drowning as well as the U.S. Coast Guard.    

            This has produced some ‘interesting learning’on the part of some of the brighter Mexicans.  A trade is developing in Cuban identity documents, and some sharp Mexican migrants are now practicing to have a Cuban accent.   They rehearse dramatic historical tales to represent themselves as fleeing from Cuba.   They do this by telling the U.S. Border patrol agents about the horrors they have suffered in Havana thereby hoping to qualify for immediate welcome into the United States as being an oppressed person from Castro’s Communist Cuba.
