A report appeared in the always-interesting St Louis Post Dispatch, about a report of lights hovering over
Lake
St Louis. Two persons called 911 Saturday night to report the hovering lights, according to Police Captain Chris DiGuiseppi. Two officers were sent out to investigate (Skully and Mulder?) and one of them confirmed the lights flickering 200 to 300 feet above the surface of the lake. Lake St Louis Police never found out what it was, but officers are talking to the community association that manages the lake about possibly examining the lake later for clues
64-year-old Bill Cole of the
Harbor
Town subdivision in
Lake
Saint Louis, called the Post-Dispatch wondering if anyone else saw an illuminated flying saucer hovering above
Lake
Saint Louis. Mr. Cole says he was watching the movie the alien invastion thriller District 9 at about 9:30 p.m. when his 30-year-old son Jacob stepped outside and yelled for him to come quick. The elder Cole walked out to his front porch and saw what he described to authorities as a flying saucer gliding over the water near St. Joseph Hospital West.
If you think it was a helicopter, you’d be wrong. Kate Hayes, a spokeswoman for
St. Joseph
West
Hospital in
Lake
Saint Louis, told the paper that no helicopters took off or landed around the time of the sightings. Mr. Cole insists it wasn’t a helicopter landing at the hospital either, because those are fairly common and are so loud they often rattle his house. Cole says there was “No noise. No sound. No nothing. But you could see the lights on the thing changing.” Cole said the saucer hovered for about 90 seconds, tilted and dipped out of view.
