Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of a sexual assault in a bar in
Milledgeville,
Georgia, which is about 90 miles outside of
Atlanta. Law enforcement officials told TMZ.com the 20-year-old accuser was inside a restroom of a nightclub early Friday morning when Roethlisberger entered and allegedly assaulted her. Last summer, a woman filed a civil suit against the Steeler quarterback accusing him of sexually assaulting her in a hotel room in
Reno,
Nevada. During a press conference from Milledgeville police, it was noted the accuser accompanied Roethlisberger throughout the evening to various establishments, and accused the quarterback of sexual assault, and not rape.
The Chicago Bears officially announced the signings of defensive end Julius Peppers, running back Chester Taylor and tight end Brandon Manumaleuna on Friday. Peppers inked a six-year contract that was reportedly worth up to $40-million over the first three years, according to ESPN.
