The Tigers host 17th-ranked Texas at Mizzou Arena.  Missouri had its two-game winning streak snapped Saturday on the road at Baylor.  MU is 18-and-7 overall and 6-and-4 in the Big 12.  The Longhorns are 20-and-5 and 6-and-4 in the conference.  Hear the live broadcast of tonight’s game on 99.9FM KFAV. Pre-game coverage begins at 7:30pm.

Blues forward David Backes helped Team USA to a win in its men's Olympic hockey opener yesterday in Vancouver.  The right wing had one of the goals as the Americans beat Switzerland 3-1 at Canada Hockey Place.  Note defender Erik Johnson was on the ice almost 20 minutes in the game and took two shots on goal.  The U.S. hockey team plays Norway on Thursday.

Head coach Steve Spagnuolo addressed reporters Tuesday at Rams Park and hinted he's not opposed to taking a quarterback with the first pick in April's NFL Draft if it feels like a good fit.  With veteran incumbent Mark Bulger possibly retiring and backup Kyle Boller a free agent, the Rams could be left with only 2009 rookie Keith Null under center.  "Spags" said with the first-overall pick, it would come down to the best guy to take at that position at that particular time.  Despite Oklahoma's Sam Bradford or Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen being tempting, Spagnuolo reaffirmed his philosophy that teams are built from the inside out, starting with linemen.  Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is still rated the top player in the draft.

It's report day for pitchers and catchers at Cardinals spring training camp in Jupiter, Florida.  A handful of players have already been in camp since last week, with a few more arriving in the last few days.  Yesterday, infielder David Freese arrived in camp.  GM John Mozeliak has already proclaimed the third base job as Freese's to lose, but that picture was potentially clouded with a December arrest for DWI and subsequent admission to rehab.  Joe Mather and Tyler Greene are already in camp too and look to push Freese for playing time at third.  Coaches are slated to meet this morning, meaning new batting instructor Mark McGwire will make his first appearance.
