Milwaukee, Molina met with general manager John Mozeliak after receiving news of the suspension
Molina was ejected in the 10th inning Tuesday night for vehemently arguing with Drake about a called third strike. Television replays showed that Molina appeared to bump into Drake, who was seen wiping what appeared to be spittle from his face. Molina has insisted that he did not spit at Drake.
It’s expected that Molina will not appeal the punishment. He has a bruised hand that he suffered in Wednesday's game, and it had been determined earlier today that he would not be in tonight's lineup. If he doesn’t the suspension takes effect immediately and Molina will miss four games against
Florida and next Tuesday's home game against
Milwaukee.
