The NFL trade deadline is set for this afternoon and it appears as though disgruntled quarterback Carson Palmer has finally gotten his wish and will be dealt from the Cincinnati Bengals to the Oakland Raiders. Various reports indicate that the Raiders will send a first-round pick in the 2012 draft and a conditional future selection for Palmer, who had made good on his threat to retire if the Bengals did not trade him. One deal on Monday saw the Denver Broncos send wide receiver Brandon Lloyd to the St. Louis Rams for a conditional 2012 draft pick. The trade will reunite Lloyd, who is in the final year of his contract, with former
Denver head coach Josh McDaniels, the Rams' offensive coordinator.
