It’s official – Big & Rich performed their last show together July 18th in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
The news came at the Country Jam USA in front of a crowd that booed the duo’s announcement. Big Kenny is taking time off to undergo physical therapy for chronic neck pain, the result of an accident caused by a drunk driver a few years ago. “Kenny has no problem doin’ shows every now and then,” said John Rich. “It’s just that constant, 100-shows-in-a-year thing that you can’t do.” Rich has been busy with his own projects. He is currently a judge on NBC’s “Nashville Star” and produced James Otto and Jewel’s recent CDs, “Sunset Man” and “Perfectly Clear,” respectively. Kenny is working on a musical production for children and is also producing artists on his own.
