On Tuesday, police arrested a man suspected in the theft of seven metal back-flow valves, and they want the public to report disappearances of these devices. Officers arrested 24 year old Keegan McCullough of St. Peters after a homeowner heard noises early Tuesday, and then noticed McCullough running away from his home in the 2000 block of Blossom Bay.

Police arrested McCullough and found seven brass and copper back-flow valves in his pickup. Each of the valves, used in lawn irrigation systems, has an estimated value of $318. Investigators matched six valves recovered from McCullough's truck with homes on Madison Park Drive. McCullough was charged with felony theft and is being held at the St. Charles County Jail.
