Two Westplex residents were returned to prison for failing to abide by the terms of the probations they were awarded by the Warren County Courts. 60-year-old Richard Martin of
Wright
City will go back to prison to finish his six-year sentence for two felony drunk driving charges. Martin pleaded guilty to the charges in 2007 and was released early from prison after finishing the prison’s four-month treatment program.
Last September, he was arrested in
Wright
City for possessing a loaded handgun while drunk. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges of unlawful use of a weapon and the case has been sent for trial in Warren County Circuit Court
In other action, Judge Keith Sutherland revoked the probation of 45-year-old Randy Quinn of Warrenton. Quinn received the probation in 2007 after an arrest for driving on a suspended license, and he was sentenced to four years in prison. At the time of his arrest, Quinn had nine prior convictions for driving while his license was revoked or suspended on his rap sheet. While on probation for his latest charge, Quinn repeatedly missed his appointments with a probation officer and tested positive three times for cocaine use.
