A Franklin County teenager lost her life in a rollover accident on Highway CC. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 18-year-old Chelsea Seaton, of Union, was a passenger in a 2003 Ford Ranger driven by 19-year-old Megan Deaton, also of Union. Police report that Deaton was southbound on Highway CC when her pickup ran off the road at about 3 p.m.

The Highway Patrol determined that she overcorrected and ran off the opposite side of the highway and the truck overturned. Miss Deaton was wearing her seatbelt, but Miss Seaton wasn’t and she was thrown from the truck. She was taken by helicopter to St Johns Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur where she died at about 4:30. Deaton was treated for moderate injuries at St John’s Mercy Medical in Washington.
