Two Westplex residents were injured in a two car accident at the intersection of Highway 61 and South Lincoln Drive in Lincoln County, Tuesday night.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 30 year old Antonio Mendez of Warrenton sustained moderate injuries in the accident while the driver of the other vehicle, 58 year old Anthony Boedeker of Elsberry was seriously injured.

The patrol says Mendez was attempting to make a left turn onto South Lincoln Drive from northbound Highway 61 when he pulled into the path of Boedeker southbound truck.   Both vehicles then traveled off the west side of the road with Boedeker’s truck overturning.

The accident occurred at about 6:10 p.m. Tuesday.
