The wings weren’t the only wild thing in St Peters Monday morning, when police were called after a suspicious device was found in the kitchen of the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, which is located in a strip mall along Mid Rivers Mall Drive near Suemandy Road, which prompted an evacuation of the restaurant and all surrounding businesses.

A restaurant manager found the item, described as a 10-inch-long cement cylinder containing steel and electrical wiring, in a paper bag at just before 9am. The manager called police to report finding the item and the St. Charles County bomb and arson squad responded and about 10 employees of the restaurant and other businesses stood outside for about an hour as investigators went in to get the device. Police took the device to be analyzed. No one was injured and everything was back to normal by 10 a.m.
