A special day is fast approaching on which to commemorate the attacks of September 11, 2001 with a service and a Ride for Pride, conducted by the Warrenton Fire Protection District and the Ladies Auxiliary. The 9-11 service will start at 8 a.m. at Warrenton Fire Protection District Station 2 on south Highway 47 and the Ride for Pride follows immediately thereafter. Organizer Brandi Motzel of the Womans Auxiliary tells Kaspar Broadcasting News that any and all kinds of vehicles are welcome to take part in the Ride For Pride.

Then there will be a “Poker run” that will stop at five participating bars, where participants will attempt to collect the most colors and win the game’s pot. Be sure to register at 9 a.m. at the American Legion Hall in Warrenton. So it will be a very special day indeed. And then, after all that excitement, stay and enjoy the barbeque afterwards, when Gary Reubling fires up the grill at the American Legion Hall. For more on the day’s activities, contact Brandi Motzel at 636 359 5529
