A new exit ramp from eastbound Highway 40-61 is now open at the Missouri Research Park in Weldon Springs.

The new ramp was unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday morning.   It should relieve some traffic congestion between the Missouri Research Park and Highway 94, because motorists can now exit 40-61 directly to the park, instead of having to make their way through the traffic on Highway 94 and the outer roads that lead to the park.

To get the new ramp built, MoDOT received funding help from St. Charles County, local businesses, and the University of Missouri—the operator of the research park.   The project cost more than $1.5 million to complete.
