Authorities have recovered a number of illegal fireworks from a
Franklin county residence.
Franklin
County sheriff Gary Toelke says information obtained from an ongoing investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant for a residence on
Copperridge Road near
Stanton. On June 30, Franklin County Deputies, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Missouri Fire Marshal’s Office executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered the illegal fireworks consisting of M-80’s, M-100’s, and M-1,000’s. Authorities say those particular types of fireworks can be equal to ¼ to ½ stick of dynamite.
Authorities say they also found
fireworks classified as 1.3 grade for commercial use at the residence. Those fireworks require a state and federal license to sell. A 4-wheeler was also recovered that was stolen from
Jefferson
County, along with a second 4-wheeler with the VIN removed.
An unidentified 47 year old man was taken into custody at the residence and warrants are pending.
