Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy and Chief of the Hawk Point Police Chief, 37-year-old Paul J. Fricke, lost his life Friday morning. The Highway Patrol reports that Fricke was southbound on Highway 47 just outside of Hawk Point when his car slipped off the right side of the road at about 10:10 a.m. He overcorrected, crossed the highway and hit a utility pole on the left side of the road and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Warren County Sheriff Kevin Harrison told Kaspar Broadcasting News,” The Highway Patrol is   conducting an investigation so, as far as the particulars as to what caused the accident, I honestly don't know at this time, right now we are still reeling in the aftermath of losing a member of our department. We're still processing through that at this moment.”
