The family of missing teenager Bianca Piper still hope someone out there knows something that can bring her back to them.13-year-old Bianca disappeared from her
Lincoln
County neighborhood five years ago. She would be 18-years-old now, and her friends and family still hope that someone who knows something will come forward to give them some closure.
Five years ago, her mother, Shannon Tanner, drove her down the street from their home and let her out of the car, thinking that walking back to their home on the gravel road would give the girl a chance to calm down after a quarrel over chores. The walks were recommended by Bianca’s therapist as a treatment for bipolar and attention deficit hyperactivity disorders.
But Bianca never came home, and following weeks of searching, police are certain that Bianca was a victim of foul play.
Lincoln County Detective Chris Bartlett, who has worked on Bianca’s case from the beginning, says the story remains a cold case. “We’ve been surveying other cases across the
United States trying to find some similar connection, but there’s just been no success there.” Regardless of that, Sharon Tanner and her friends spent today, as they have for the past four years, handing out fliers at the stop signs in Winfield and Foley. Anyone with information about Bianca is urged to call the Criminal Investigations Division of the
Lincoln
County’s Sheriff’s Department at 636-528-8546.
