The Rams' schedule for the 2008 season is out, and one would think that former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue is getting his revenge for the Rams moving from Los Angeles to St. Louis.

Scott Linehan's squad will begin the campaign in Philadelphia on September 7th.  Then, the Rams have five of their next seven games against playoff teams from last season, including a battle with the reigning Super Bowl champion New York Giants for the team's home opener in Week 2.  Matchups against Dallas at the Edward Jones Dome and Super Bowl runner-up New England on the road highlight the docket in October.  All told, the Rams' first eight opponents in 2008 had a cumulative record last season of 81-47.

The Rams hope to have a much easier second half of the season, since they face only one playoff team, and their second-half opponents combined for a 44-84 record in 2007.  They close out the year on December 28th in Atlanta, so we'll see at that point if the Rams survived their first-half gauntlet and competed for a playoff spot.

Meanwhile, over 20 NFL Draft prospects are in town to meet with Rams officials today in Earth City.  The Rams' braintrust began interviewing the potential players yesterday as a way of gathering more information on the group.  LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey and Arkansas running back Darren McFadden are included in that crowd and expect to be taken within the first five selections.

The Rams hold the second overall pick in the draft which gets underway on April 26th.
