High School
this evening as his football jersey is retired.
Franklin
was drafted last month by the Kansas City Chiefs after an outstanding career at Mizzou. While a senior at Vashon,
Franklin
earned all-state, all-metro and all-league honors. Westplex high school football fans got a close look at Franklin, in the 2003 Class 4 MSHSAA state quarterfinal vs. Wentzville Holt. However, a howling rainstorm transformed the field at Gateway Academy into a quagmire, and Franklin didn't get a chance to perform his magic that night.
