On the pending fate of illegal aliens!
Some ‘privileged citizens’, well educated and economically blessed, have opinions that collide with the middle-class lower income
citizens who struggle daily to just exist and pay their ever increasing taxes while they are forced to live in lesser-privileged neighborhoods.
The ‘privileged’ are somewhat isolated from the day-by-day goings on in those lesser middle-class neighborhoods.
They are isolated in economic ways that enable them to live in upscale places
away from the everyday world of the
less blessed citizens.
The less blessed are made to suffer in higher taxes, lower property values, and it goes on and on.
All the time the privileged are not sweating their taxes so they don’t mind paying for some services given to illegals.
As a result they see things differently. Bottom line…in general the elites seem to favor ILLEGAL immigration while the less privileged middle-class, those most impacted by it, do oppose it. Think about it…it makes sense.
The ‘bleeding hearts’ who want to aid and abet people who enter our country illegally seem to gloss over why our legal immigration system is set up.
It is designed to help
both the citizens of the
United States and the immigrant.
There is no conflict between God’s Law and man’s law when it comes to our immigration laws. When followed, our laws actually protect the legal immigrant
and the American public.
This is as it should be.
Immigrants are supposed to have sponsors who assume financial responsibility for them.
If the immigrant goes on welfare, the American sponsor can be required to repay it.
The sponsor helps the immigrant learn our language, laws, and customs.
The sponsor helps to make sure the immigrant is not taken advantage of by unscrupulous employers.
What’s immoral about that?
As with all countries, we get to determine the number of immigrants who may enter, and when & where they may enter.
They must be of good character and good health. They must tell us their real identity so we can screen out criminals/terrorists.
It’s not up to any well-meaning person or church or university to decide that it’s too difficult to obey the law or that we don’t allow enough immigrants to enter.
As Christians and citizens of 2 realms, they are required to obey God’s law and man’s moral law.
The elitist bleeding hearts can work to change man’s law, but
until and unless it changes, they must obey it or pay the penalty.
I would hope those who support illegal aliens would encourage the ILLEGALS to get right with the law and go home.
Do what is right and moral by God’s law as well as man’s law.
Help the immigrant family to return to their mother land, and then sponsor them to get in line and reenter the
U.S. legally.
This would show respect for our laws and respect the
people
of the
United States.
The churches used to really support family unity when they sent missionaries to
help people bloom where they’re planted.
Now, by some churches encouraging people to ignore our laws, they not only separate families, but encourage migrants to risk their lives in the desert. If the churches really wants to help, why not help them start businesses in their home countries so their families can stay together?
Yes, it’s difficult, but nothing is impossible for God.
People say they admire the ILLEGALS for risking their lives to get here?
Well, I’d admire them more if they did the hard work necessary to fix their own countries instead of taking the relatively easy way out and coming here.
For those who want to aid and abet ILLEGAL alien let us see if
doing so squares with the Rotary Four Way Test:
Is it the truth?
I have heard lies that the immigration laws are immoral and need not be obeyed.
I have heard of some citizens aiding and abetting illegal aliens.
This undermines our nation’s laws.
Is it fair to all concerned?
No.
It is not fair to legal residents
who are struggling to pay taxes, some monies of which are going to benefit ILLEGAL aliens. While ILLEGALS do pay some taxes, they do not pay enough to offset the services they use.
We could find out for certain if we were allowed to ask their legal status and compile actual data (facts), but ‘powers that be’ don’t want us to know the truth.
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
No. It does not build good will or friendships when people force themselves on us against our will and in violation of our laws.
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
No. The taxpayers intuitively know how much this is costing them, not only in dollars but in quality of life and rule of law.
Laws are made for a purpose.
Immigration laws are no exception.
ILLEGAL immigration is unhealthy for our country in many ways.
No city, no country, or no individual can build a solid future on documents that lie or use fraud and deception. That does not meet the Four Way Rotary test…or mine.
