The Senate AMNESTY bill S 1639 died on June 28, 2007 on a vote of 53 NO and 46 Aye.
A disaster of the illegal invasion
long term consequences has been diverted but it is still shocking that 46 Senators are so disconnected from reality and the wishes of the people.
Washington was trying to sweep 12 to 20 million illegals under the rug by declaring illegal’s …. legal.
The people’s answer was NO…..enforce existing laws!
This editorial addresses what is happening in our communities regarding this illegal phenomenon that pressures our school systems, our law enforcement and our general services and facilities.
Illegal is anything that is against the law.
This includes drug trafficking, smuggling, terrorism or crossing the border into a country.
Illegal means illegal!
Question;
Do some, who fashion themselves as, law abiding citizens find the concept of ‘law and order’ difficult to understand?
Do they abide by some laws and totally disregard others....and that’s ok ?
Illegal aliens are generally good people.
Any decent person has empathy and sensitivity for any people driven from their motherland because of their corrupt and uncaring government leaders.
Today the
United States is slouching away from being a nation of laws.
This is extremely troubling.
It seems mass deceit and illegality surrounds us while very little is done about it.
When
laws are flaunted and law enforcement is ignored….chaos results.
One example….law enforcement
officers are stopping drivers on the roads and have no way of communicating with the potential offender either written or verbally. This is not good.
The simple truth is…on the illegal immigration issue due to broken borders...our central government in Washington has betrayed us.
We have lost control of our own borders, and no nation can do that and survive!
We need better deportation procedures, more immigration judges, better border fences and…yes temporary federal reimbursement to local areas picking up the social costs of our derelict federal immigration policy.
If those in Washington that are tasked with protecting invasion by illegal’s, are unable or unwilling to do their duty then they should admit their ‘ failure of duty’ and
give the more local governments the resources to get it done.
The concept of
section 287 (g)
local immigration enforcement comes to mind.
We have two pressing problems in this great country.
Both problems are
frightfully
IMPORTANT and URGENT.
One is
IRAQ and the other is our BROKEN BORDERS.
I view the problem of illegal aliens entering our country in massive numbers does trump IRAQ for many reason. Just one is the massive undermining of our nation being a NATION OF LAWS.
Both IRAQ and the massive scale invasion of illegal aliens are the failure of our central government.
I have great fears that the
United States is slouching away from being a COUNTRY OF LAWS.
Degrading and flaunting law and order, in such massive amounts, has many undesirable consequences for our great nation.
