Accused murderer Chris Coleman is being sued by the family of Sheri Coleman for the alleged wrongful death of his wife and two children. The civil suit, filed today in Monroe County by Belleville lawyer Jack Carey, names both Joyce Meyer Ministries and Ronald Coleman as so-called “respondents in discovery,” which means they can be ordered by the court to provide information to Sheri Coleman’s family, such as financial information, work history, and emails.

Chris Coleman, the son of minister Ron Coleman, was security chief for televangelist Joyce Meyer. He resigned the position shortly after the murders. The suit aims to stop Chris Coleman from profiting from the May 5th murders of Sheri Coleman, and his sons, 11-year-old Garett, and 9-year-old Gavin.

On Tuesday, Sheri Coleman’s family were allowed to enter Sheri’s home in Columbia, which also was the scene of her and her son’s slaying. Her cousin, Enrico Mirabelli, told the St Louis Post Dispatch that visiting the home was “very hard.” Family attorney, Jack Carey, says there were numerous messages written on the walls with red spray paint. Some included curse words, others were difficult to read, but one of them was the word, “punished.”
