Good news for motorists in the show me state, as fatal accidents have dropped 15% so far this year, according to the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety. Revee White, a spokesman for the Coalition for Roadway Safety, says 410 people died in traffic crashes as of July 13th, compared to 484 for the same period last year. White has no information on why the numbers have fallen. White adds that the Coalition’s goal is to reduce the number of fatalities to 850 by the year 2012. Experts say people drive less during tough economic times.
