Two teams punched their ticket to the conference semifinals with Game 7 victories last night.

After seeing a 3-1 series lead slip away, the Flyers finally put away the Capitals with a 3-2 victory in overtime at the Verizon Center.   Joffrey Lupul netted the game-winning goal 6:06 into the extra period to seal the win for Philadelphia.  The Flyers won their first playoff series since 2004 to set up a matchup with the top-seeded Montreal Canadiens in the East semifinals.

Jeremy Roenick scored the tying and go-ahead goals as part of a four-goal second period as the Sharks eliminated the Flames with a 5-3 victory in Game 7 of their Western Conference quarterfinal.  San Jose lost two of the first three games of the series, but battled back and will have home-ice advantage when they face the Dallas Stars in the semifinals.  The Sharks are making their fourth consecutive trip to the second round.
