Here is a recap of Thursday's NHL Playoff action:

The Boston Bruins held off elimination with a 5-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens.  Montreal still leads the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal, 3-2.  

The Philadelphia Flyers pushed the Washington Capitals to the brink of eliminatio with a 4-3 victory in 2 overtimes. The Flyers lead best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal 3-1.
The Dallas Stars are close to dispatching the defending Stanley Cup champions, after beating the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 to take a series lead of 3-1.  

The Colorado Avalanche have seized a 3-2 series lead, after winning a 3-2 decision over the Minnesota Wild last night.  

And, the San Jose Sharks edged the Calgary Flames 4-3 to assume a 3-2 series lead.
