The Blues ended their regular season with two victories over Columbus over the weekend.  The duet of games was highlighted by the 3 goals scored by the Blues' Keith Tkachuk.  The last of the 3 goals was an empty-net effort that gave him his 500th career goal.

In retrospect, the Blues made improvements from last season, but their finish was still disappointing because they finished out of the NHL playoffs for the 3rd straight season.  The disappointment is heightened by the fast start that the Blues enjoyed this season, at 22-14-5; only to collapse with an 11-22-8 finish in their final 41 games.
